The day of 30th of November 2011 has been marked by the official opening of the new Atos Office in Dubai, a new milestone of the presence of Atos in the Middle East. The attendance of our partners and guests of honor have contributed to the success of the day. The symbolic cutting of the ribbon was done by the CEO of Atos Middle East together with the Global CEO of Du, Emirates Integrated Telecom Company and the Senior Executive Vice President of Olayan, Group of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Atos Management highlighted a strong commitment by actively investing in the region and hence contributing to the development of high added value jobs in the United Arab Emirates and the rest of the Gulf Cooperation Council. The presence of the CEO of Siemens Middle East emphasized that Atos is their most important partners in the region as a IT service provider following the merger between Siemens Information Services and Atos last July. He also expressed Siemens commitment to play an active role in jointly developing this relationship as a client and also as shareholder. The chairman and CEO of Du EITC expressed his commitment to encourage the cooperation with Atos as a partner using its technology expertise to help Du realizing its business objectives in different areas. The Senior Executive Vice President of Olayan, conveyed a strong message informing the audience about the importance of the Joint Venture between Atos and Olayan group in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The event was judged to be successful and well attended by some of the captains of industry in the UAE and also representatives of prestigious companies from across the Middle East. This gave an excellent opportunity for all participants to share their impressions, business views and strengthening the Atos name in the Middle East. The opening of the new office in Dubai is another step in the execution of the Atos strategy for the Middle East which started in late 2010 with the establishment of the legal entity in Cairo Egypt. In line with this strategy and the business growth of the region, the next steps will include the completion of Atos office in Doha (Qatar) and Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) by Q1 2012.
